Modern technology & library facilities
In 2007, St Mary’s extensively renovated its’ library facilities and now offers dedicated Senior and Junior libraries. In addition to a large selection of books, students have access to a range of technology tools such as digital cameras and scanners, PCs and Macs. The school has also purchased three smartboards which are proving very popular among students as they make learning fun.
Students, teachers and parents also have access to CEnet (formerly known as CASTNet). This intranet site connects over 150,000 students and 15,000 staff, from over 390 catholic schools across Australia, to a state-of-the-art, e-learning environment. CEnet facilitates communication, publication, sharing and collaboration:
- Students - can interact with a wide range of educational resources
- Parents - can keep up-to-date with the work their children are doing via a class page
- Teachers – can provide targeted educational content and collaborate with other schools.
