History

St Mary’s Catholic School Manly opened in 1881, five years after the establishment of the Parish of Manly.  Originally under the leadership of a lay Principal with the Sisters of the Good Samaritan as part of the staff, the school catered for students up to intermediate level until it became solely a primary school in the 1930’s when the Christian Brothers and Stella Maris secondary colleges opened.

A major refurbishment of the school took place in 1999 with further enhancements in 2006 such as the addition of a new ‘senior library’ in order to accommodate growth.
